Boy oh boy was my trip eventful. So eventful I could write a series on it but I'll just give some highlights.
The trip out of my area started out great, I ended sitting next to someone I know from the fire dept. I know what are the odds of that. Then Minn. St Paul that airport sucks, my connecting flight was canceled I ended up staying the night at the Park Plaza. Nice enough hotel but it wasn't close to anything and with a red eye flight the next day I didn't have time to visit the Mall of America.
My rescheduled flight took me to Atlanta International where I had 30 min. between flights that were on entirely different concourses. If you know Atlanta you know what I mean. Mad dash and I made it. That flight was to take me to Columbus OH. It was about a 2 & 1/2 hours morning flight that an hour into it some chic across the aisle from me started puking. She did that for an hour. OMGosh I thought I was going to be sick I had to plug me ears, why she didn't go to the bathroom is beyond me but the attendant had to keep getting her new barf bags. ew
Columbus, hot humid. Well I saw a lot of places but unfortunately I stayed with an uncle that thought I was from Kentucky and into inbreeding. Needless to say I had to lie and say my flight headed out sooner than I had originally said and booked a hotelroom. He wanted me to go to ComFest. Feel free to google Community Festival Columbus OH. It is basically a woodstock of OH, naked women, lots of drinking and drugs. I was not interested the least in going especiallly with my pervy Uncle. gag.
I visited the Hoover Dam in Westerville, OSU campus and Varsity Club and we went out to eat at SushiRock. I spent many hours at the Easton Mall. I loved my nissan versa it was a really cute rental car. ;D So it wasn't a total loss.
The positives of my entire experience, I got over my fear of flying and traveling. I learned I can deal with a whole lot of surprises and still be OK. My husband missed me and appreciates me SO much more and I learned how to navigate busy airports and unknown cities.
