I get the feeling that being an owner Op is not so much about getting rich...but in my case simply having the right to chose what i run and not have to answer to and be accountable to a bunch of hoodlum outlaws. I keep dreaming of a Volvo (with an ISX) and a 13 speed. Many Landstar people i chat with seem very happy... also talked to a O/O who is hooked on with TRIUS out of Fresno and he does very well...he sez the owner prefers his people run legal.(He had one of those new Pete ...i think its a 388 ? Many options seem to be coming into focus lately. Any helpful ideas and experiences will be appreciated.

There sure are a lot of former Owner Ops back in college. It seems like everyday I met a former trucker, " Oh I was a trucker for 18 years."
I even met a gal and a guy truckers, that are friends with benefits. Or so she says.

Isn't the term "good broker" an oxymoron? . Yeah...its right up there with running legal.... Neither will ever happen Just a pipe dream Its just learning to operate according to the 'spirit in which the law was written' I'm am beginning to understand more and more each day why there is a healthcare crisis in America. What masquerades as rules of law, regulatory guidelines, right and wrong, black and white are all just shades of gray. I thought I signed up for more of an exact science but instead it has turned out to be abstract and subjective. I feel like I am taking an art class on an acid trip instead of healthcare and medicine. Quality healthcare is an oxymoron oops I meant to say pipe dream
